In the run-up to the London 2012 Paralympic Games in September, the Danish athletes are honing their efforts, but the Danish Sports Association for the Disabled’s main sponsor, Pressalit, is also playing an active role by supporting the Danish medal hopes through its own elite academy. Thanks to the Pressalit Sports Academy, disabled sport is ahead of many able-bodied sports through a form of sponsorship which is unusual within the world of sport.

In its recently published annual profile and annual results, Pressalit A/S recorded a profit of DKK 24.1 million for the financial year of 2011. The executive board describes the results as acceptable.

Pressalit Group A/S emerged from 2009 with a modest profit of DKK 1.6 million before interest and tax. Annual sales amounted to DKK 460.3 million, which was 14% less than the year before, but still satisfactory given the prevailing recession. This is clear from the annual accounts just circulated.

Pressalit Group establishes new toilet seat production facility in Asia in 2010. The new factory, which is to be palced in either Vietnam or Thailand, will primarily supply the Pressalit's largest customer, Villeroy & Boch, with toilet seats for the Asian markets.
