Karina Lauridsen wins Keep Living Award
Seven medals and a new world record are some of the achievements that the elite swimmer Karina Lauridsen has won in 2009. And that made her the best candidate for the Keep Living Award 2009.
2009 has been a remarkable year within disabled sports with 13 international medals all together – 11 of them being won by the nominees of the Keep Living Award. However, Karina Lauridsen has distinguished herself by her many impressive results; she has the will which makes a top athlete.
Dan Boyter, COO of Pressalit Group, presented the award: “We are proud to award Karina for her work. She is a role model for others through her serious attitude to her sport."
It was a very proud award winner who thanked for the recognition. “I am very happy and proud to receive the Keep Living Award. I appreciate Pressalit’s values – they listen, they give, the play, and they act at a very serious level, and so do I. These values relate directly to me”, says Karina Lauridsen.
