That urea powder, the basic material used for today's toilet seats, is oil based.
That the pressing of toilet seats is guided by the same principle today as in 1956. Urea powder is poured into a mould. The closed mould is heated to approx. 135 degrees Centigrade uden 370 tonnes of pressure. In three to eight minutes the powder hardens into a uniform mass. A toilet seat is born.
